Ferry Services in Guernsey

Each of Guernsey's five islands has its fascinating past, fauna, and culture. They are perfect for an island hopping trip because of their proximity to Guernsey and their ease of access by boat or plane. Ferries reach the GCI airport from ports all over the island, allowing visitors to arrive by air and enjoy spectacular views of the local scenery during their journey.

The ferries offer an excellent way for tourists and business travelers to explore this beautiful part of the world without worrying about finding transportation or accommodation on arrival. With comfortable seating and plenty of room onboard, even long journeys can easily be pleasant experiences.

Guernsey's St. Peter Port

Customs and Immigration

Masters of all vessels arriving in Guernsey must fill out a declaration for the Guernsey Border Agency (GBA) provided to them by the Marina Attendant staff immediately upon arrival before any crew member goes ashore.

If you are still looking for a yellow Customs box, give your completed form to a Guernsey Border Agency official on duty. Additionally, yachts from outside the Bailiwick of Guernsey must fly a yellow Q flag in place of the courtesy ensign until they have been cleared by the GBA.

Passports and/or visas are required for all passengers on ships arriving from countries other than the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey, and the other islands of the Bailiwick.

Getting to St. Peter's Harbor

When you arrive at the Marina, a staff member will greet you and help you find a good spot to dock your yacht. All visiting vessels must clear inwards at St. Peter Port's main harbor, no matter which Marina they dock at. Only boats with reservations will be allowed to dock at the QEII Marina.

Visiting Yachts

There is plenty of room for vessels waiting for the tide on the holding pontoon just outside the entrance, which will be accessed by a marina attendant in a dory.

The Victoria Marina has moorings available at the side of the pontoons. However, there are limits on both length and draft. The sill is 4.2 meters above the chart datum and can be reached for about 2.5 hours before and after high tide. The marina guards will let you in. Both piers head at Marina's entrance are equipped with lights that can be controlled remotely.

Just outside Victoria Marina, Guernsey Ports provide walk-ashore access directly into town via the non-tidally restricted 'Swan' Pontoons. These pontoons do not have electricity, but they do have running water, and you are not limited by the tide.

If you wish to lay alongside other piers, jetties, or ships, you must first obtain permission from Guernsey Ports. If you plan on leaving your boat for longer than 24 hours, you must make special arrangements with the Marina Office. Yachts from out of town planning a longer stay than 14 days must also get approval from the Marina Manager.

Marina employees are responsible for the well-being of all guests and can advise you on the best berth for your boat. Tell the staff how long you plan to stay when you check-in. They accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and cash.
